Difference between Chess and Checkers

Chess and checkers are played on the same board but checkers use only half the square and uses less pieces.

Talking of those pieces, there is only ONE kind of piece in checkers which moves in one specific way only changing when it reaches the last rank, so in total two kinds of pieces.

Chess on the other hand has SEVEN different pieces ranks each with its own way of moving and if you look at the pawn, it moves in four different ways, (1st move, en passant, capturing, normal move). To add to this the pawn can promote into any price (not king) when it reaches the last rank.
